Miss Amanda
Miss Amanda joined Weaver in 2024 and serves as our Studio Art Teacher for upper elementary grades. She holds degrees in Art History from Kent State University and Elementary Education from Thiel College. With a background in museum education, community arts, and creative learning experiences, she brings warmth, creativity, and a deep appreciation for relationships to her work with children. She believes meaningful learning grows from connection and creates opportunities for children to explore ideas, express themselves, and discover their unique strengths. Through her work as Atelierista, she helps document children’s learning and celebrate the many ways they communicate their thinking, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach.
Miss Amarah
Miss Amarah brings creativity, curiosity, and a passion for the arts to Weaver. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education from Kent State University and a Visual Arts License (PreK–12). With experience teaching in schools, enrichment programs, and community-based settings, she enjoys helping children explore, create, and express their ideas in meaningful ways. As Weaver’s Studio Teacher for the lower elementary grades, she supports hands-on learning through the arts. She also collaborates with Weaver’s Atelierista, Miss Amanda, to support the documentation of children’s learning and make their thinking visible through practices inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. In addition to her work in education, Miss Amarah proudly serves in the Ohio Air National Guard, where she has gained valuable leadership and administrative experience.
