Growing learning community expands to support students through their next educational milestone.
Canton, Ohio – January 13, 2026 – Weaver Child Development Center (CDC) is pleased to announce the addition of 6th grade beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, marking an important milestone in the school’s continued growth and commitment to its students and families.
The expansion reflects Weaver CDC’s dedication to nurturing strong relationships, curiosity-driven learning, and continuity in education as students progress into the next stage of their academic journey. Rooted in the Reggio Emilia philosophy, Weaver CDC’s approach emphasizes child-led exploration, collaboration, and learning through relationships—values that will continue to guide students as they move into middle school.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside our families and provide a seamless transition for students as they move into middle school,” said Susie Stoffer, M.Ed., Executive Director. “Adding 6th grade allows us to continue fostering joyful learning, strong connections, and meaningful experiences during a pivotal year of development.”
Enrollment information for the new 6th grade will be shared directly with current 5th grade families via email later this week.
